- SimHQ Theater of War gets better and better with time, learning, and development. ToW3: Korea is no exception. A new location and a new time era give the series new life. Improvements to the AI and game play in general keep the games frustrations to a minimum. The maps are absolutely beautiful and made for war, while the units continue to be like others in the series. If you like the ToW series then Korea is highly recommended. This version has been cleaned and tuned to almost RTS perfection, almost. The inclusion of a new strategic turned based overview is a nice touch, but not really that necessary. The inclusion of the Russian forces also adds life to the "what if" scenarios. Theater of War 3: Korea is definitely a detailed, hardcore RTS as compared to another popular 1C Company title Men of War, which is more mainstream.
- Off-Duty Gamers - 4/5 1C Company has built a superb Sim/Strategy game with Theater of War 3 Korea. I am sure that it is going to appeal to the hardcore sim gamers out there who are looking for a game that truly test their strategic gaming abilities. I look forward to future release from 1C Company as it is apparent that they take PC gaming very serious and can put out a top notch game, even if it is a sim game.
- Game Chronicles - 7.5/10 While the interface and levels of specificity can be intimidating and somewhat disorienting, Theatre of War 3: Korea, is, above all, a realistic game, with grand amounts of detail, down to the names and equipment of soldiers, all of which is reflected in an extensive in-game encyclopedia, while a campaign creation mode lets players create their own missions, even adding in outside forces to complicate the situation past historical boundaries. For players used to harder-core war games, or who can handle the game having a broader focus than the typical Command & Conquer or Halo Wars, it can be a great buy.
- www.world-gaming.com Overall, this is the most detailed tactical combat simulator I have ever played. So many details were considered and integrated. Players have the ability to control so much of their situation. This is great, and yet at the same time, may be overwhelming to some. Don't get me wrong, if you are a fan of the evermore sophisticated game, and are looking for more control and more realism, it is unlikely you will find it in this. If, on the other hand, you just want to get in and start killing, you might find this a bit of a challenge.
- justpressstart.net - 4/5 Let me start off by saying the amount of detail in this game is something I have never seen in any other RTS out there. I was overwhelmed, not only by how beautiful the gameplay details are, but also with the amount of things you have control over in this game. You are the Commander General of the entire war, down to every last detail.
